The Senior Collection Specialist plays an important role in the company's accounting department , and specifically within the AR team . The individual adheres to the company's accounting operation policies , complia nce with global standards, and aligns with the strategic objectives of the organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Review and analyze customer accounts to identify overdue balances and prioritize collection efforts
  • Manage complex or escalated collection cases, including legal proceedings if necessary
  • Perform customer account reconciliations to ensure accurate records
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in customer accounts and transactions
  • Work with customers to negotiate payment plans and resolve outstanding balances
  • Keep detailed records of all collection activities and communications
  • Train and mentor junior collection staff to enhance their skills and performance
  • Generate regular reports on collection activities, outstanding receivables, and performance metrics
  • Collaborate with sales team, billing team and other cross functional team s to resolve credit and collections issues as well as help improve process es
  • Ensure all collection activities comply with relevant laws and regulations
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned


Wh o You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years’ collection experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers and internal teams
  • Strong ability to resolve disputes and find solutions to complex issues
  • Meticulous in maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and patience
  • Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to handle large datasets and s killed using MS Excel
  • Knowledge of recurring billing cycles, subscription renewals, and cancellations a plus
  • Prior experience in ERP system, NetSuite preferred
