The Opportunity

As an active member of the Product Information Tea m, the Asset Coordinator works on the upload of product information assets, translations and content page updates to mec.ca, from sourcing files to ensuring the right information is customer-facing. Demonstrating a can-do, never give up attitude the Asset Coordinator additionally contributes to ad hoc projects and tasks on the team with a willingness to find ways around roadblocks without becoming easily disheartened. We’re looking for a highly motivated individual with a good attitude when contributing to a team, and a focused mind when working solo.

Location: We are open to this role hybrid from MEC's HO in Vancouver or remote within Canada.

• Coordinate the upload and quality of product images and videos on mec.ca, including sourcing assets from vendors and internal teams, coordinating with external service providers, proofing customer-facing assets and making continuous improvements
• Coordinate and upload translations to mec.ca
• Update content pages on mec.ca
• Support the Product Information Team with timely action and response to internal form submissions from cross-functional team members
• Contribute to the continual improvement of the Product Information Team’s service delivery
• Various ad-hoc projects as assigned
• Manage and maintain vendor contact list
  
  

The Ideal Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of the products sold at MEC and an eagerness to continually learn more about them
• Extreme attention to even the smallest details
• Superb communication skills including the ability to maintain professional relationships with stakeholders, brand partners and internal product information sources
• Demonstrated problem solving skills
• Initiative and the desire to constantly review and improve processes
• A desire to learn new skills and constantly push yourself further
• Archiving and organizational skills
• Experience in a retail environment
• Experience with Photoshop
• Experience working with eCommerce platforms or PIM tools
  
  

It’s a bonus if you have…

• Photography studio background
• Experience with DAMs, FTPs and file transfer services
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (primarily Excel)
• French reading & writing skills
  
  

The Compensation & Perks

The anticipated annual base salary range of this role is $48,100 to $60,200 . The exact salary will be dependent on the successful candidate’s relevant skills, experience, location, qualifications and internal equity. This role is eligible for our annual variable incentive plan.
