Our client is a Canadian-based logistics and transportation provider looking to grow their team! You will play a key role in helping to grow their business and bring new opportunities into the firm. Be unafraid of building and creating new business relationships with prospective companies and customers,

Role & Responsibilities

  • Researching potential companies and contacts that ship freight across Canada, the USA, and Mexico.
  • Make cold outreaches (phone calls, emails, LinkedIn, social media, etc.) to companies/contacts to prospect new business opportunities.
  • Identify business opportunities through industry research.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to determine pricing, and operational processes for customer freight.
  • Work closely with your management team and colleagues to navigate client calls and in-person meetings.
  • Achieve KPIs as set by management for revenue, load count, and margin on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

The Ideal Candidate Has:

  • Knowledge of the logistics and transportation industry, familiarity with North American trade lanes, and transport modes.
  • 3-5 years in a sales development role, within a freight brokerage or 3PL background.
  • Positive attitude, perseverance, grit, and ability to roll with the punches of new sales and business development.
  • Problem-solving skills, handling issues with tact and responsibility internally and externally.
  • Coachability, be open to working with the senior leadership team to improve your game, take advice and implement new strategies.
  • College or University education is preferred, business degree or certificate from an accredited institution.
