Reporting to the Intellectual Property Engineer, your main duties will be to :

• Participate in the evaluation of new concepts to identify potential innovations
• Conduct prior art searches
• Participate in the drafting of patent applications
• Coordinate the monitoring of new patents with engineering teams
• Analyze existing patents
• Participate in the evaluation of potential issues of encroachment on third-party intellectual property rights by products offered by Soucy
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Academic or professional experience in mechanical engineering
• Bachelor's or technical degree in engineering (an asset)
• Experience with patents (asset)
• Minimum of three (3) years relevant experience
• Bilingualism (French and English) for searching, drafting and translating patent-related documents
• Interest in product development and/or research and development (R&D) (an asset)
• Minutia, patience and ability to maintain concentration over long periods of time
• Organizational skills and ability to manage documentation in a structured manner
• Self-reliance and resourcefulness
