Responsibilitie

  • sDesign digital and analog circuits including schematic entry and PCB layout in Altium Designer for class leading medical device
  • sDesign and build test fixtures for product validation and verificatio
  • nPerform electrical systems analysis, board bring-up, and debug complex design
  • sConduct acceptance and certification tests based on FCC, IEC, FDA, and electrical safety regulation
  • sCoordinate and lead technical activities for multiple programs within cross-functional team
  • sHelp define system requirements, architect system design, and explore and implement new technologie
  • sRepresent Verathon as an electrical subject matter expert (SME) with contractor and vendor communication
  • sParticipate in the hiring process and provide mentorship to junior engineers and co-op
  • sProvide efficient and timely support to resolve production issue
  • sCreate and maintain detailed design documentation including BOMs, test reports, assembly instructions, and system specification
  • sParticipate as an SME in design reviews, product transfer to production, and ECO procedure
  • sSupport the local Quality Management Syste

Qualificatio

  • nsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is requir
  • ed8+ years of demonstrated relevant experien
  • ceRegistered or eligible for registration as a P.Eng. with Engineers and Geoscientists
  • BCProficient with multiple facets of electrical engineering such as circuit design, schematic entry, PCB design, component analysis/selection, EMC/regulatory, programmable devices, board bring-up, and deb
  • ugExperience with system architecture design and implementation of new technologi
  • esStrong understanding of fundamental engineering principles for EM energy, signal integrity, and signal transmission lin
  • esSolid understanding of communication protocols/techniques such as I2C, SPI, LVDS, and MI
  • PIExperience with VHDL/Verilog and design of systems based on FPGA and MPSOC devic
  • esAbility to perform design analysis using DFMEA, FTA, or other recognized techniqu
  • esExpert-level experience with lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, DMM, and spectrum analyze
  • rsSkillfulness with PCB rework and soldering small SMT componen
  • tsKnowledge of FDA, IEC, ISO, and IPC regulations or standar
  • dsCapability to work under minimal supervision, be accountable for technical decisions, and prioritize tasks on multiple progra
