The Opportunity

Our Calgary, AB location is currently looking for Line Locator Assistants to join the team. The successful candidates will be responsible for locating buried pipelines and cable utilities within the oil and gas industry across Alberta. This position will be responsible for extensive daily walking in all weather conditions and working long workdays and weekends as required. This is a seasonal, temporary position.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Assist in locating and mapping buried pipeline and cable utilities;
  • Prepare and complete required field and operations paperwork;
  • Manage and maintain field equipment and clientele relationships;
  • Other duties assigned by management

Qualifications

  • 0-2 years experience line locating, mapping, and GPS experience is preferred;
  • Ability to work outside for extended periods of time in all weather conditions required;
  • Experience working outdoors is an asset;
  • Basic computer knowledge in MS office suite;
  • Valid Safety Tickets: H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance Standard First Aid required;
  • Class 5 license w/ clean driver’s abstract required;
  • ATV certificate, snowmobile or UTV certificate an asset
