Job Description And Responsibilities

Greenlight Innovation is seeking an accountant/accounts receivable specialist to join our team for a 12-month maturity leave replacement. This position reports to our Controller. The accountant will be part of the month-end close and reconciliation process. Primary duties will focus on project focused accounts receivable and revenue recognition. Working closely with our sales teams, customers, and operations this person will be comfortable with contract review, various customer portals for invoicing, and ideally SAP ERP software.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Accounts Receivable for project-based business including project setup, progress invoicing, customer account inquiry, and collections.
  • Prepare revenue recognition reconciliations
  • Maintain project folders
  • Liaise with customer service team to monitor service projects
  • Maintain various month-end reports and reconciliations
  • Post month-end entries
  • Prepare GST, PST, and German VAT monthly filings
  • Prepare bank reconciliations
  • Assist with year-end and annual audit
  • Manage corporate credit card program
  • Maintain commission schedules and payments
  • Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Degree/Diploma in accounting required. Enrollment in CPA program a definite asset.
  • Minimum 3 years + Accounts Receivable/full cycle accounting in a manufacturing or product development environment required.
  • Excellent analytical and reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, data bases and accounting systems; experience with SAP preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and process orientation.

Salary: $64,000 to $72,000 annually depending on experience.
