About The Job

This dynamic position calls for a Senior Financial Analyst to bolster the investment administration, financial planning, and growth strategies. The Senior Financial Analyst will report directly to the company’s CFO, as well as the owners who are actively involved in running the business. As a vital cog in the financial wheel, you will be involved in evaluating and observing the performance of portfolio companies and accounting, ensuring compliance, and generating reports for the holding companies. This role will also extend across M& A and financing activities, in addition to curating meticulous reports for top-tier executives. Candidates who are self-motivated with a robust analytical prowess, great attention to detail, and the capacity to effectively manage concurrent tasks are most desirable.

Key Duties

Financial Recording & Documentation

  • Executive Reporting: Craft comprehensive reports and presentations for executives, outlining portfolio company performance, identifying key trends, insights, and recommendations for future actions.
  • Financial Records: Maintain an accurate and systematic record of all financial transactions, investment papers, and important correspondence.
  • Full-Cycle Accounting: Perform full-cycle accounting and generate financial statements for holding companies while ensuring compliance with required filings.

Investment Analysis & Research

  • Industry Research: Conduct in-depth industry and market research to help formulate investment strategies.
  • Investment Screening: Evaluate potential investment opportunities in line with investment policy.
  • Financial Analysis: Build financial models, perform detailed fiscal analysis, and conduct due diligence on prospective investments, forming investment theses and recommendations.
  • Market Trends: Analyze market trends, economic indicators, and geopolitical events that could affect portfolio companies.

Strategic Financial Planning

  • Financial Projections: Develop and update financial plans, projections, and scenario analyses to assist in strategic decision-making.
  • Financial Strategy: Support the creation and implementation of comprehensive financial plans.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the CFO and external advisors to synchronize family office activities, ensuring regulatory compliance.

Special Assignments

  • Project Management: Lead various ad-hoc projects related to investment activities, portfolio company performance, and financial planning.
  • Technology Implementation: Assist in introducing new technologies and processes to improve efficiency and productivity.

Risk Management

  • Risk Evaluation: Monitor, identify, and evaluate risks associated with investment options/portfolio and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.

Requirements

Prerequisites for the Role

Education

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Preferred: A Master’s degree, CPA or CFA designation.

Work Experience

  • Required: minimum 3-5 years of experience in investment analysis, financial planning, or wealth management, ideally in a family office or private wealth management firm.
  • Experience with Asset Classes: Familiarity with various industries, asset classes and investment vehicles.

Skills

  • Analytical Abilities: Strong quantitative skills, including financial modeling and data analysis.
