Job Duties

StandardAero is seeking Engineering students for summer term positions (4 or 8 months) to support StandardAero's production and growth projects. This work may include activities as listed below:

  • Perform reprocess cost evaluation and make recommendations for reduction
  • Develop tools to measure and analyze process effectiveness
  • Assist quality team in tracking, documenting, and reporting quality goals/KPIs
  • Build, maintain and optimize new/existing quality metrics
  • Investigate product complaints and reported quality issues in accordance with company and regulatory requirements
  • Identify and document defects through to resolution.
  • Assist in the maintenance of existing internal processes and quality system management documentation.
  • Documentation review and maintenance
  • Inspect systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvements to workflow and enhanced efficiency.
  • Monitor risk-management procedures, to identify and report recurring issues.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience)

  • Good understanding of basic engineering principles: asking questions, problem-solving and be willing to learn and work in a collaborative setting
  • Basic knowledge of computer and MS Office
  • Must have completed 1st year of Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace studies
