The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Account Lead (Media) to join our team in Toronto. This role is essential to our media team, where you will drive client success by leading strategic initiatives that enhance business performance for some of our top retail clients. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of client paid media programs and for developing effective integrated multi-channel campaigns across social, search, programmatic, digital audio, digital OOH, and video. Attention to detail is paramount, as you will ensure that all campaign elements are executed flawlessly and align with client objectives. With a deep understanding of the media landscape, you will stay informed about new trends, best practices, and emerging media channels. Furthermore, you are enthusiastic about sharing your knowledge and passion for paid media with both clients and team members alike.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage account paid media projects, ensuring quality assurance and performance aligned with client goals
  • Act as the client liaison, maintaining positive client relationships, expectations and communications with assistance of internal resources.
  • Steward client interest in areas of growth opportunities, innovation, industry trends, and audience insights
  • Develop, present and implement holistic media planning processes and strategic channel planning, focusing on digital marketing
  • Coordinate efforts across digital media channels and collaborate with internal teams to create integrated media campaigns and drive optimized recommendations
  • Continuously stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging media channels to strategically apply insights to clients' businesses while proactively identifying and enhancing digital marketing opportunities for growth
  • Lead discussions and build relationships with paid media vendors
  • Work with the Performance Team to gauge media performance and KPI’s to ensure account goals and objectives are being met
  • Analyze campaign performance data, providing actionable insights and recommendations to communicate with clients
  • Oversee project management to ensure alignment across workstreams, ensuring deliverables are produced on time, and to clients’ specifications
  • Facilitate the development and documentation of best practices for improving operational efficiencies within the team and the group
  • Oversee junior team members ensuring work is delegated appropriately while providing mentorship and guidance

  • Acts as a positive role model through example


What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years in an account management position that includes executing media planning and buying.
  • Proven experience building out strategic media programs to help businesses innovate, grow and achieve goals.
  • Hands on experience planning and executing paid media campaigns.
  • Proven track record of client and team success
  • Strong client-facing experience with exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • In-depth knowledge of media tools and platforms
  • A strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to media planning and optimization
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, agency environment is highly preferred
