Located at our Retail Support Centre (RSC) 260199 High Plains Blvd, Rocky View County, AB. Our Router/Planners provide daily delivery schedules and solutions to ensure efficient and effective transportation delivery. Actively contribute to a positive and productive working environment. This is a temporary position.

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

  • Continuous daily review, identify opportunities and drive for cost reductions on all lanes
  • Work with OPS/EXE to download shipments for Daily Planning
  • Upload warehouse cross docks using SAP into the TMS planning software
  • Update excel documents tracking trailers going between Edmonton and Calgary, Calgary and Winnipeg, Calgary and BC
  • Responsible for confirming Dairy load plan out of Edmonton adheres to combination weight restrictions for Hwy 2
  • Responsible for Daily Load planning in TMS planning software for the Prairie Region (BC/Alberta/Saskatchewan/Manitoba)
  • Work as a liaison between warehouses and transportation to make sure the Daily plan is followed or adjusted as required
  • monitor loaded timelines to make sure loads are being picked up in a timely manner
  • confirm all data entered into TMS planning system is accurate
  • Other duties as assigned

What you have to offer:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a transportation planning/routing role is required
  • Business Diploma
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access databases), JDA, TMS, Samsara
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines while ensuring accuracy
  • Familiarity with Western Canada road network
