Join our dynamic team as a Corporate Legal Assistant! In this role you’ll be supporting key legal and administrative functions. You’ll be responsible for drafting documents, closing of books, managing invoices, and recording of meeting minutes.

This is a 12-month contract. We are ideally seeking a candidate located in Calgary.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Drafting and preparing closing documents to support the successful completion of transactions.
  • Assisting in transaction closings, coordinating signatures and compiling necessary documents.
  • Compiling and organizing closing books to ensure accurate documentation of completed transactions.
  • Managing and overseeing invoices to ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • Maintaining and organizing minute books to ensure accurate corporate record-keeping.
  • Attending meetings and taking detailed notes to ensure through documentation of discussions and decisions.
  • Providing ad hoc support across various areas of the organization

As The Successful Candidate You Have

  • A minimum of 3–5-years experience related to administrative support in the legal field
  • A legal assistant diploma
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Meticulous attention to detail in document editing and proofreading
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a strong focus on meeting deliverables
  • Experience with drafting resolutions, managing minute books, and experience with Mergers and Acquisitions would be an asset
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset
