Location: 100 Eleventh Street, Nanaimo, V9R 7A4
Term of Employment: Part-time (Perm & Temp)
Shift(s): 2 days on & 5 days off, 7am-3pm; 5 week rotation, 7am-3pm/3pm-11pm/11pm-7am; 4 days on & 4 days off, 11pm-7am

- Graduation from a recognized Nursing program or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience recognized by the BCCNM.
- Holds an active registration with the BCCNM as an RN.
- Maintain Occupational First Aide Level 1 status.
- Satisfactory proof of COVID-19 vaccinations.
- Passes and complies with Ministry of Justice Criminal record Check upon hire and every 5 years thereafter.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbal and written.
- Gerontological experience preferred.
- MDS education (Gold Care or Point Click Care).
- Provide direct patient care, assessments, treatments, and medication administration.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop care plans.
- Conduct health screenings, education, and community outreach.
- Utilize telehealth for remote care.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Please note that Healthcare wages are being adjusted and topped up by the government currently, February 2023.
