At Arcadis, our Document Controllers are an integral part of our project delivery teams, utilising their expertise to help the company deliver client success. You will have the opportunity to work on unique and leading-edge projects with a local focus to make a global difference.  

You would be based out of Vancouver, BC.   

Role Accountabilities:  

  • Follow processes and principles of company's document procedures (pertaining to Civil Engineering projects)  

  • Keep records, create document logs of project details, meeting minutes, technical specifications, drawings etc - archive, control, and retrieve records as and when needed  

  • Scan, image, index, and organise documents  

  • Classify, sort, and categorise documents as per project document control system  

  • Control issuance of documents and seek proper approval for the same  

  • Review completeness and accuracy of documents - performing quality checks by following document control processes  

  • Perform responsibilities of file migration and assist in auditing  

  • Provide status reports on documentation regarding progress on workflow  

  • Maintain Request for Information (RFIs) logs and distributing RFI responses as appropriate  



Bachelor’s Degree and / or Diploma in Information Management  

  • Proven experience as a Document Controller in the Civil Engineering sector, ideally Transportation  

  • Involvement with large and complex projects from concept to delivery – P3 experience would be desirable  

  • Ability to prioritize daily tasks, manage time well, multitask and troubleshoot while handling multiple deadlines  

  • Detail-oriented, dependable and trustworthy when in contact with complex and sensitive documents  

  • Self-directed - the ability to work independently and used to working in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment  

  • Stay focused and carry out their tasks in a timely and accurate manner  

  • Ability to interact and coordinate with internal and external business partners  

  • Strong communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written  

  • Preferable to have experience working on construction sites  

  • Experienced with EDMS (SharePoint, Aconex, ProCore)

The salary range for this position is $57,298 - $85,946. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
