Our client, a reputable and well-established law firm based in Vancouver, is seeking a dedicated Research Assistant to join their dynamic and busy team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of research experience, ideally in a law firm, and be a highly intuitive and proactive professional.

Our client, a reputable and well-established law firm based in Vancouver, is seeking a dedicated Research Assistant to join their dynamic and busy team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of research experience, ideally in a law firm, and be a highly intuitive and proactive professional.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research on existing and potential class actions, including reviewing US actions, Canadian regulators' decisions, recalls, and more.
- Collect, sort, and categorize evidence for certification and assist in preparing affidavits.
- Assess class action viability, perform corporate searches, and estimate potential class size and damages.
- Manage public and potential class member inquiries via email and phone.
- Assist with drafting pleadings, notices of civil claim, and legal arguments as needed.
- Prepare application records and books of authorities.
- Maintain class action deadlines and document databases.
- Track and report on information and data related to class actions.
- Provide administrative support to lawyers and paralegals, including file management and binder preparation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of research experience, ideally from a law firm
- Completed LAA or Paralegal program, or a completed post-secondary degree
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent intuition, proactiveness and detail-oriented
