Job Description

We are looking for a Rail Car Loader in a permanent position who is physically capable of performing specific tasks, is safety-focused, and can follow directions and procedures. You must be willing to switch roles wherever needed.

This position is expected to start on October 28, 2024, and is local to Calgary, AB, but everyone is encouraged to apply, especially those willing to relocate!

What would you be doing?

  • Monitor the condition of all equipment within the unit and maintain and correct it. and/or reporting potential failures or malfunctions.
  • Loads and unloads railway cars.
  • Pull POs, scheduling Vendors.
  • Cleaning and maintenance of tools and equipment .
  • General facility maintenance.
  • Transport materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Dig trenches, shovel snow, gravel, and other materials.  
  • Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Help trades in various tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Does this sound like you?

  • 1+ years of Rail Car Loading Experience is considered an asset.
  • Experience in Zoomboom or Skidsteer and TDG are preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of all facets of Operations.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work well with Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Experience participating in the HSSE programs.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Must have your own reliable transportation.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions.
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and a keen willingness to learn.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
  • Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shovelling, bending, twisting, etc.
