Responsibilities

  • Lead the Converting team by setting and managing expectations with the intent to achieve Key Performance Indicators(Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost, People). 
  • As part of the site leadership team, contribute to the development of site strategic goals
  • Work with site leadership team members to promote and support teamwork across the plant
  • Ensure the team has established goals and development plans in place and reviewing these on the established basis. 
  • Participate, contribute, and support continuous improvement initiatives related to plant and converting area KPI’s.
  • Effectively communicate cross-functionally to ensure the team is aware of initiatives impacting the department. 
  • Identify training and development opportunities within the team and department, create plan to close gaps, ensure transfer of knowledge

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, prior converting experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills that provide ability to work in a fast-paced work environment with multiple projects and priorities
  • Proven ability to lead an operations team and provide guidance/coaching to achieve results
  • Knowledge and passion for Continuous Improvement methods and tools
  • Strong leadership, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in budgeting and strategy / business planning
