Sous-Chef

Le Manoir Fontainebleau welcomes independent elderly people and offers accommodation with care and services to people losing their autonomy. We are currently looking for someone to fill a full-time sous chef position. Is your desire to create a moment of taste happiness through creative and generous food? POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Schedule: a permanent full-time position, Monday to Friday daytime with every other weekend

ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assemble plates of food
• Clean kitchen equipment
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure good teamwork
• Ensure and optimize quality standards in the use of food
• Perform meal preparation while supervising and mobilizing staff in the kitchen
• Perform other related duties
• Use products and equipment according to the safety, quality, hygiene and cleanliness rules and standards in effect
  
  

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Training certification (MAPAQ)
• A proffesional studies dimploma (DEP) in institutional cuisine or equivelent
• At lease 3 to 5 years of experience in a large restoration
• knowledge of a Maitre D
• Flexibility for the work schedule
