Who are we looking for?

We seek a hands-on and versatile Director of Marketing to head and oversee our marketing efforts, both in driving the success of our enterprise-sized lottery clients' success and promoting our brand.

This dual-focus role requires a seasoned marketing generalist with extensive experience in product marketing, digital strategy, brand management, customer engagement, and go-to-market execution. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our clients' lotteries achieve exceptional outcomes while elevating our company’s brand presence in the market.

Customer/Lottery Success

As a key contributor, you'll:

  • Develop and put in place robust marketing strategies tailored to each client’s lottery, ensuring their products are effectively positioned to maximise participation and revenue. This includes market research, messaging development, product launches, and ongoing promotional efforts.
  • Lead and execute digital marketing campaigns across various channels, including SEO/SEM, social media, content marketing, and email marketing, to drive ticket sales and customer engagement. Use data and analytics to continuously optimise performance.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their goals, give strategic marketing guidance, and ensure the success of their lottery programs. Serve as a trusted advisor, offering insights and solutions to enhance lottery performance.
  • Manage relationships with external marketing agencies to deliver high-quality creative assets and campaigns for client lotteries. Oversee timelines, budgets, and deliverables to meet client objectives.
  • Oversee the creation of compelling marketing materials, including copywriting, design, and visual content, tailored to the unique needs of each lottery. Ensure all materials align with the client’s brand and resonate with their target audience.

Organisational Marketing

  • Develop and maintain a strong brand identity for our company across all channels. Ensure that our messaging, creative direction, and public image align with our mission and business goals.
  • Lead our digital marketing efforts, including corporate website management, social media presence, content marketing, and lead generation. Use digital tools and platforms to drive brand awareness and customer acquisition.
  • Craft and oversee communications strategies that effectively promote our company’s services, successes, and innovations. This includes press releases, newsletters, thought leadership content, and internal communications.
  • Lead and mentor a marketing team responsible for both client and corporate marketing activities. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation, creativity, and professional growth.
  • Work closely with other departments, including Sales, Product, Lotteries and Operations, to align marketing strategies with business objectives and ensure cohesive execution across all initiatives.

We're looking for someone with:

  • 8-10 years of experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in a director-level role.
  • Extensive experience in product marketing, digital marketing, brand management, and customer engagement, particularly within enterprise-sized B2B environments.
  • Proven ability to manage marketing efforts for both client success and corporate branding simultaneously.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage many complex initiatives and deliver results on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working directly with clients and cross-functional teams
  • Creative and strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional marketing results.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing marketing team.

Salary: $120,000 - CAD 130,000 p/a based on experience
