Job Description

Our Calgary, AB location is currently looking for experienced Line Locators to join the team. The successful candidates will be responsible for locating buried pipelines and cable utilities within the oil and gas industry across Alberta. This position will be responsible for extensive daily walking in all weather conditions and working long workdays and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Locate and map buried pipeline and cable utilities;
  • Prepare and complete required field and operations paperwork;
  • Manage and maintain field equipment and clientele relationships.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience of OIL & GAS line locating, mapping, and GPS experience is preferred;
  • Ability to travel 70-80% of the time, across AB and SK;
  • Line locating certificate;
  • Ability to work outside for extended periods of time in all weather conditions required;
  • Basic computer knowledge in MS office suite;
  • Valid Safety Tickets: H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance Standard First Aid required;
  • Class 5 license w/ clean driver’s abstract required
  • ATV certificate, snowmobile or UTV certificate an asset
