Veterinary Customer Service Representative

Location: London, ON

London Regional Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital is currently welcoming a full time, Client Service Representative to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an organized, motivated, and empathetic individual to join us in a very important support role for the entire hospital. A passion for both pets and people is a must, as well as maintaining professionalism in emergencies and stressful situations.

• Create a warm and welcoming environment for our patient and pet parents
• Assisting veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments when required
• Ability to answer a multiline phone system and track and book appointments effectively
• Placing outbound calls to pet parents for follow-up
• Respond and manage email correspondence; clients, referring veterinarians & internal office messages
• Admitting and discharging pet patients
• Invoicing/billing; obtaining pet owner confirmation and processing payments
• Excellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting people at ease and creating a welcoming environment
• Strong organizational skills
• General housekeeping duties; cleanliness of reception area, pet holding areas and common areas
• Willingness to learn more regarding; veterinary services, updated medical office procedures and assisting the Veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
  
  

Schedule: We are a progressive, fast paced 24-hour emergency and referral hospital, who understands just how pivotal a strong customer service team is to a busy hospital. Our client services team supports the hospital in a rotating schedule consisting of 8-9 hour shifts. These shifts will primarily include evenings/late nights and weekends, along with some days and holidays.
