Alta Vista Animal Hospital is welcoming a Veterinary Technologist/Technician, RVT to join our team of skilled veterinary professionals. While our network is large, we still offer that local community feeling, mentorship, and additional training! If you love a fast-paced, action-packed shift and are looking for more variety during your day, then Alta Vista Animal Hospital, ER is the place for you! We offer 24-hour emergency services in our state-of-the-art facility. This position reports directly to the Technical Resource Manager - ER and Treatment departments.

• Have completed a Veterinary Technician or Animal Health Technician program. Preparing to write your VTNE? We can help!
• New graduates with knowledge of physical examinations, patient assessment, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, venipuncture, and pharmacy - welcome to apply! We love growing new graduates!
• Surgical preparation, assisting and patient recovery.
• Ability to keep detailed and accurate patient records.
• Compassionate care for our hospitalized patients and their pet parents
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving aptitude, including the ability to ask clarifying questions to facilitate effective solution-finding
• Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues and pet parents.
• Passion to learn more within the role.

Schedule: Hours of work vary from 10 to 12 hours in length, including days, evenings, weekends and overnights.
