We are looking for a Document Controller to join our Canadian office and work within a functional team that is responsible for facilitating the document control management core functional processes at a project level in the planning, execution and close-out phases.  Together with customers, partners, and colleagues, we shape a future where people and societies grow and flourish. We do that by co-creating sustainable and beautiful solutions that improve the quality of life for people today and many generations ahead.


 


Your key responsibilities will be to:


 

  • Ensure the proper documents are created and signed, that all data is accurate and that documents are stored and backed up by implementing and maintaining a coordinated and consistent filing system;
  • Perform document storage activities which involves scanning documents, copying documents, physically or electronically filing documents, organizing documents and ensuring documents are saved and safeguarded;
  • Ensure that all filing is up-to-date and in accordance with Quality Management System procedures;
  • Registering all incoming and outgoing correspondences, site instructions, change orders, NFC, RFI, CVI ,RFM , letters, staff daily report, submittals and other forms of pertinent documents from the client and subcontractors, coordinate between other Consultants & Contractors;
  • Coordination with the respective project managers, discipline leads, secretaries and other staff to ensure correctness of the records;  and
  • Maintain up to date Database Register showing document details and revision status.

On top of that, you will:


 

  • A bachelor’s degree in business management, engineering, construction management or related discipline is considered an asset;
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working for contractors or engineers/designers in document management within the Architectural, Engineering, and Construction industry;
  • Experience and proficiency in using multiple types of electronic document management systems (EDMS), experience with Aconex is considered an asset;
  • Proven leadership experience working with multiple stakeholders;
  • Very good interpersonal and team collaboration skills;
  • Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and organisational skills;
  • Flexible and be a proactive team player.

Base compensation: $65,000 to $90,000 for North Vancouver location only. Actual compensation is subject to variations due to education, experience, skill set and/or location
