Raise is hiring an OpenText Content Server System Administrator for Our Client, a partnership of 12 municipalities - one Electoral Area and one treaty First Nation. That collaboratively plans for and delivers regional-scale services with its core services being drinking water, wastewater treatment and solid waste management. This position is a one (1) year contract with an option to extend for two (2) additional one (1) year periods subject to budget approval and mutual agreement in writing from both parties. Located in Burnaby, British Columbia. We are actively seeking talented professionals like you to drive these crucial initiatives forward.

Description

The OpenText Content Server System Administrator & Support Lead to work with the I.T. team to support new and existing OpenText operations and initiatives. This assignment is expected to start as early as November 18th, 2024, depending on the resource’s availability.

Accountabilities

  • The OpenText Content Server System Administrator will work in collaboration with our internal OpenText IT support team and a Records Management Team to:
  • Provide on-premise OpenText Content Server and associated modules support: Installs new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems.
  • Monitors system to ensure OpenText Content Server solution is operating as expected. Makes adjustments as needed to ensure optimal performance.
  • Gather requirements and work with an OpenText partner to conduct a system health check to develop solutions to system related pain points.
  • Development of custom applications and interfaces utilizing OpenText APIs.
  • Analyzes and resolves problems associated with server hardware, operating systems, applications software.
  • Provides second level customer system support for customer software/system applications.
  • Provides guidance from a design and architecture perspective related to functional and system requirements.

Required

  • 3-5 years of experience working with the OpenText Content Server in an on-premise environment.
  • Knowledge and experience work with OpenText Directory Services (OTDS).
  • Experience in maintaining and upgrading OpenText Content Server software, including planning, execution, and testing.
  • Experience with custom development utilizing OpenText Content Server APIs is an asset.
  • Hands-on experience in upgrading OpenText Content Server, including planning, execution, and post-upgrade support, to ensure seamless transitions across versions.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies and project management principles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Thorough knowledge of software development methods, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to prepare technical design and write technical specifications.
  • In addition, this position requires the ability to:
    • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal contacts.
    • Provide advice and assistance on matters related to the work.
    • Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
    • Perform assigned duties with minimal supervision, although direction will be given.
    • Maintain confidentiality.

  • Candidates to be considered for this role will need to provide two professional references
  • MUST be able to go to the office in Burnaby 3 days per week
