We are looking for a Project Engineer who specializes in municipal water and wastewater to join our fast-growing multi-disciplinary Infrastructure team to contribute to engineering studies, preliminary and detailed design and construction support services. 

You will have the opportunity to work with lead members of our multi-disciplinary team on a wide diversity of infrastructure projects in Ontario including design of water and wastewater treatment, pumping, storage and distribution.

You will take part in our hybrid work model that includes flexible work hours, working from home and in our London, Kitchener, or Mississauga offices.

Primary responsibilities 

  • Support treatment process reviews and complete process optimization studies 
  • Prepare treatment technology evaluations and select treatment equipment 
  • Prepare hydraulic calculations and perform analyses with pump and system curves 
  • Assist with the preparation of environmental assessments/master plans, design briefs, and technical reports for municipal wastewater projects
  • Assist with the development of design drawings in collaboration with design engineers and CAD support staff
  • Prepare contract specifications, preform technical calculations, and prepare and submit approvals 
  • Participate in site inspections for condition assessment and/or design purposes 
  • Liaise with municipal clients, government, and regulatory authorities to address specific project needs, and guide a project through approvals processes
  • Liaise with equipment manufacturers to confirm details and incorporate into the design.
  • Complete conceptual and detailed design of projects related to wastewater, water supply, treatment, pumping, storage, and distribution 


  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Chemical, Biological or Environmental Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institute  
  • Registered or eligible for registration as P.Eng. in Ontario 
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the engineering design of water and/or wastewater treatment projects.  
  • Demonstrated experience in water and wastewater treatment project planning and design, including knowledge of water and wastewater unit process design and hydraulics 
  • Proficient MS Office user (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with process modelling software (e.g. BioWin, GPS-X, etc.) would be considered an asset.
