Security Analyst

Raise is hiring a Security Analyst for Our Client, a market leading financial institution. This position is a five (5)-month contract located in Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta. We are actively seeking talented professionals like you to drive these crucial initiatives forward.

Description

The Security Analyst will be supporting the design of new firewall policies to support workloads as they move into the new environment. Some workloads will be migrating to the new data center, and some will be migrating to an Infrastructure as A Service (IAAS) in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Some workloads may move to a new Google Cloud VMware Engine (GCVE) environment with NSX firewalls.

To successfully meet our tight timelines for this work we require a individuals with strong networking security skills to join the Security Operations team.

Role Accountabilities

• Analyzing and validating application network flows and building new firewall policies for each application instance that is moving to a new network.
• Participating in network architecture discussions for each application.
• Supporting the design of new firewall policies to support workloads as they move into the new environment.
• Some workloads will be migrating to the new data center and some will be migrating to an Infrastructure As A Service (IAAS) in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Some workloads may move to a new Google Cloud Vmware Engine (GCVE) environment with NSX firewalls.
  
  

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with a strong background in network security, which includes knowledge of how to protect data and systems from threats.
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) an asset
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially Google Cloud
• Strong analytical abilities to identify and address potential security gaps as applications are moved between environments.
• Firewall System experience including:
• Palo Alto Firewall experience
• Google Cloud Firewall experience
• VMWare NSX firewall experience
