Aplin is seeking a dynamic and highly organized individual to join our client’s team as a Receptionist in Acheson. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys engaging with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and excels in providing exceptional service. The Receptionist will be the first point of contact for visitors and employees, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere while also supporting various administrative and event-related tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and assist visitors, ensuring a positive and professional first impression.
  • Manage phone communications, direct inquiries, and provide accurate information to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Plan and coordinate company events, including annual celebrations, employee gatherings, and team-building activities.
  • Oversee the production and distribution of company newsletters, keeping employees informed about important updates and announcements.
  • Support the Human Resources department by assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and new employee orientations.
  • Handle administrative duties, including managing employee access (locker assignments, swipe cards) and coordinating vendor services for site operations.
  • Organize catering for meetings and events, ensuring that all arrangements run smoothly.
  • Assist with document creation and facility communications, helping to maintain clear and effective internal messaging.
  • Provide backup support for HR systems administration, such as LMS (Learning Management System).
  • Participate in the Social Committee to foster a fun and collaborative work environment.
  • Complete other administrative tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), with experience in Adobe InDesign being an asset.
  • Ability to quickly learn and navigate HRIS (Human Resource Information System) and LMS platforms.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and manage a busy workload in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional demeanor.
  • Self-motivated and driven, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Comfortable with event planning and coordinating logistics for team activities and employee events.
  • Professional appearance and the ability to represent the company with a friendly and approachable attitude.
