Supply Chain Systems Analyst

RPI Executive Search has partnered with a leading producer in the cannabis sector in their search for an experienced Supply Chain Systems Analyst to be responsible for evaluating and improving supply chain processes while supporting the broader team on execution. Reporting to the COO, this leadership role will oversee the master data in the clients ERP, maintain dashboards and procurement forecasts using system data and demand forecasts, be responsible for reporting on and maintain inventory levels, tracking raw material pricing, and providing leadership to the procurement, planning, and logistics functions. This role will ultimately be responsible for overseeing the movement of all inventory materials, intercompany transactions, and any third-party processing, while maintaining weekly reporting for broad visibility on supply chain KPI's.

Key Responsibilities

The following is a high-level description of the Supply Chain Systems Analyst’s responsibilities and is not meant to be all-inclusive.

• Lead development and improvement efforts as they relate to supply chain systems
• Centralize the supply chain function for all business units
• Run the materials requirements planning process, providing inventory analysis and insights to the procurement team
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators and metrics for supply chain planning and forecasting; enact changes based on findings
• Lead and support the broader team in supply agreement negotiations, managing supplier relationships, and periodically conduct supplier capability assessments while managing contracts and service level agreements
• Regularly report on supply chain performance to executive team, Facility Managers, and other stakeholders
• Seek and establish ways to further align supply chain unit with the organization's financial revenue goals
• Ensure that all reporting structures are well-established and follow product development and fulfillment cycles
• Maintain strict control over materials' inventory levels in order to meet internal and external demand of product
• Provide leadership to facility teams in managing inventories, identifying discrepancies or potential risks and taking action
• Provide strategic vision and continually assess for improvements in operational processes and fulfillment
• Manage related and third parties to ensure efficient processing of cannabis through the fulfillment process
• Oversee and develop supply chain staff
• Regularly review, and be familiar with, all applicable cannabis legislation and standards to ensure logistics and shipping compliance
• Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans in pursuit of risk management goals.
• Monitor developments within in-country and external markets to source materials and meet supply chain needs

Candidate Experience:

Qualifications

While no individual will embody every quality, the successful candidate will bring many of the following professional qualifications and personal competencies:

• University degree in engineering, data analytics, or business
• Six Sigma or Supply Chain designation considered an asset
• 5+ years of direct work experience in supply chain analysis, Inventory management, manufacturing, or business operations
• Direct working knowledge of ERP systems, architecture, and development
• Direct working knowledge of manufacturing operations, warehouse management, and transportation management
• Direct knowledge of disaster recovery plans and other business continuity strategies, as it relates to supply chain
• Proficient in the entire MS Office Suite and SCM systems
