What You Will Do

As the Engineering Manager at Cryopak Canada, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and competitiveness of our manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will lead a team in optimizing processes, machinery, production, cost, safety, and quality. This role is crucial in ensuring the success of our plant operations and engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team by delegating tasks, providing mentorship, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Research and implement engineering solutions to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
  • Identify equipment improvements for cost reduction opportunities.
  • Coordinate equipment selections and start-up of manufacturing plants.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bilingual with advanced computer software knowledge.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and technical background.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.

Competencies

  • Leadership qualities.
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
  • Familiarity with lean, six sigma, and kaizen methodologies.
  • Experience in electromechanics or chemical processes.
