About The Role

Client is seeking a dynamic and driven individual to lead our business development and distribution efforts in Western Canada. In this role, you'll need the endurance to navigate the marathon of long-term growth while also excelling in the high-paced sprints of immediate opportunity. Whether you're engaging with accredited investors or sophisticated fund managers, you do so with confidence and finesse.

Key Accountabilities

  • Perform pro-active sales calls, meetings, and sales campaigns to promote Client product offerings to existing and new financial advisors and investors.
  • Raise and retain assets under management within a geographic territory by conducting proactive phone calls, and one-on-one and group appointments. These meetings will be both in person and virtually, with financial advisors and direct investors to share sales ideas, provide product information, gather marketing data, and offer sales support.
  • Deliver effective presentations to promote Client Private Equity investment offerings and competitive advantages.
  • Develop and implement a business plan and sales strategy to drive new business.
  • Develop and enhance industry and product knowledge to effectively communicate and build credibility with financial advisors and investors.
  • Update daily call activities and maintain accurate advisor records within Salesforce on a timely basis; perform ongoing territorial sales and asset reporting.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of market, advisor, and investor trends.
  • Work closely with and actively support efforts of other Distribution Team members.
  • Achieve activity targets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Minimum 2 years of financial services sales experience.
  • Private equity, alternative investment, equity trading and/or wealth management experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge of or experience in securing product selling agreements with Broker/Dealers.
  • Highly and self-motivated to build relationships and close sales.
  • Effective communicator (written and verbal) with sound interpersonal and team building skills.
  • You are passionate and have a strong desire to grow and succeed.
  • Ability to prioritize activities, meet deadlines and work under pressure in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Must be actively licensed and registered with the BC Securities Commission (BSC) and the Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA).
  • Eligibility to travel between the US and Canada to attend meetings; ability to travel as needed.
  • A Criminal Record Check and Credit Check is required for this position.
