Shipper, Receiver & Material Handler

Description

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a diligent and meticulous Shipper, Receiver & Material Handler in Mississauga, Ontario. As a part of our team, your role will be essential in ensuring the smooth functioning of our shipping and receiving operations, as well as maintaining accurate inventory records.

Responsibilities

• Handle the processing of incoming goods by conducting visual inspections and verifying compliance with purchase orders.
• Maintain daily records of material and inventory movements, including returns and exchanges.
• Coordinate supplier deliveries and pickups.
• Assist in the unloading and loading of trucks.
• Communicate with Quality Management in case of any visual defects identified upon receiving.
• Handle interactions with various couriers and transportation firms, including the Customs Broker.
• Prepare orders for shipment by packaging the necessary materials and maintaining the log.
• Store materials in appropriate areas and record their locations.
• Conduct physical count verification to ensure accurate inventory records.
• Uphold all safety regulations and maintain cleanliness and orderliness in storage conditions.
• Handle other assignments within the Operations function as required.
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role such as Shipper, Receiver & Material Handler.
• Proficient in using CRM systems.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proven customer service skills.
• Experience in purchasing functions.
• Knowledge of handling hazardous materials.
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes.
• Expertise in warehouse inventory management.
• Ability to perform quality control checks.
• Experience with QM - Quality Management systems.
• Proven skills in delivery management.
• Experience in handling work orders.
• Proficiency in order picking in a warehouse setting.
