Hyatt Regency Vancouver is seeking dedicated, customer service focused professionals to join the Event Services team as Regular Event Services Server.

The Event Services Serveris responsible for the entire set-up, serving and clearing of banquets function rooms, food service of the guests and provides excellent customer service. Candidates must have good communication skills as well as the ability to lift a moderate amount of weight. This is a fast-paced position that will involve superior customer service.

Starting wage for this position is $17.40 per hour plus gratuities, after 6 months wage is $17.93 per hour plus gratuities, after 1 year, full wage is $20.49 per hour plus gratuities.

This is a regular position; associates will be scheduled according to business needs. This position requires availability especially on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Qualifications

QUALIFICIATIONS

• Serving It Right certificate is mandatory
• Food Safe Level 1 certificate is mandatory
• Individuals must be available to work various shifts including weekends and holidays (early morning, afternoon or evening)
• Previous food and beverage experience is considered an asset
• Must have previous customer service experience
• Must have a good command and understanding of the English language
• Knowledge of a second language is considered an asset
• Must be pleasant, have an outgoing personality and able to communicate and work with a diverse group of individuals and guests
• Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task
• Must have excellent grooming standards and remain professional at all times
• Must demonstrate proven qualities of an excellent team player with leadership skills
  
  

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

• Constant standing throughout shift
• Frequent walking throughout the shift
• Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting
• Occasional ascending or descending stairs and ramps
