Job Description
The Imaging Product Trainer will be the go-to resource for training and product knowledge on all consumer digital still cameras and camcorders sold by Panasonic Canada. The incumbent will be responsible for training and establishing strong relationships with retailers, improving the brand experience at store level and ensuring that Lumix Brand is top of mind for Sales Staff.
Please note, this is a part-time position.
The Imaging and Product Trainer will be required to work evenings and weekends on an as needed basis.
Travel Requirement: Western Canada (mostly British Columbia and Alberta)

The wage range for this position is $35.00 – $40.00 per hour. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

Job Description

Responsibilities
- Act as a Lumix Brand Ambassador and subject matter expert with regard to specifications, features and benefits of the Lumix product line.
- Maintain regular visibility and retail visit schedule within assigned territory.
- Build strong relationships with managers and sales at key Camera Retailers.
- Proactively work on increasing Lumix sales for selected dealers.
- Gain and report on consumer insights to further influence future Product Development efforts.
- Responsible for training staff in key camera retailers in Ontario region, ensuring sales staff understand product and are appropriately representing the Lumix Brand.
- Identify and collaborate with influencers to promote Lumix cameras.
- Accountable to plan and attend customer facing events at camera dealers and at trade shows.
- Responsible to compile market information and competitive data related to competitor programs, merchandising, advertising etc. and report information to Product Management.
- Weekly reporting on activities, market conditions and customer feedback.
- Testing and review of new camera models.
- Bachelors’ Degree Preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in photography/videography, with a strong understanding of both camera hardware and software technologies
- 2 -3 years’ experience in retail sales would be considered an asset
- Valid Driver’s License is required
- Knowledge of the LUMIX brand and product set would be considered an asset
- Ability to present in a clear and concise manner to both retail partners and end consumers
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Must be able to travel within Canada when necessary
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Able to work independently and with a team
