We are currently seeking a Associate Director, Vendor Management to join our team in Burnaby, British Columbia (CA-BC), Canada (CA).
Role and Responsibilities:
- Management and oversight on regular procurement activities such as managing the requisition, purchase orders and ordering process with OEMs
- Oversee the sourcing and quoting of PC related equipment with OEMs and ensuring our clients receive the best value for their needs
- Manage end to end procurement and hardware lifecycle with Procurement Supervisor including:
- Reviewing and ensuring accuracy of invoices and payment for agreed services
- Ensuring catalogue pricing is correct
- Establish HA and Provincial device roadmap with timelines on transition and retirement milestones, manage last buys, transition to new devices and retirement of old devices, ensure new devices have KBAs updated for ease of support
- Collect key HW decision points with feedback from HA's and socializing their financial impacts and other trade-offs to stakeholders (ex HW pricing / specs and purchase vs leasing options)
- Manage provincial policy on standardizing hardware and collaborate with Commercial, OEM's and vendors to ensure alignment with device roadmap and HA requirements
- Manage the HW budgets set by the HA's and address any variances
- Optimize the supply chain process by minimizing cost of capital and inventory but meeting HA forecasts and demand
- Provide insights in problem hardware and proactively form strategy with stakeholders to minimize impact to end users and HA's
- Lead weekly calls with HA clients and joint teams to assess demand and forecasted HW needs
- Lead weekly calls with OEMs and 3rd party vendors
- Regular meetings with front line teams to understand where problem issues occur and craft strategy for continuous improvement in sourcing, tools, reporting, efficiency/cost savings, etc. (example: analyzing break/fix incidents from ServiceNow and recommending best warranty plan / parts locker to optimize HA cost and experience)
- Analyze and help craft RFP / Agreements for suppliers/vendors
- Develop and maintain balanced scorecards, reporting in partnership with Commercial
Requirement:
- Bachelor's Degree (must), should hold 8-12 years relevant procurement experience with Vendor management Operations esp. Indirect procurement in B2B
- Experience with SAP Ariba Platform, Service Now and working in a managed services environment
- Experience working with clients, with excellent communication & analytical skills with emphasis on client management, including handling challenging situations and conflict resolutions.
- Ability to lead and manage matrixed overseas teams
- Experience working with top PC manufacturers and/or suppliers (e.g. Dell, HP, Lenovo, global resellers/distributors) preferred
- Direct client-facing experience (front office), preferred.
