Purpose

We are seeking an eager and energetic Cablebolter Operator with a positive attitude to join our Drill and Blast team and develop their skills and knowledge to contribute to our ongoing development and growth.

Responsibilities

• Operate Cablebolter efficiently and accurately to drill cable holes, install cables and grout, etc.
• Assist Drill and Blast to complete other production tasks (hole cleaning, loading, blasting, etc.) when required
• Take direction from Drill and Blast and/or Underground Supervisors in a respectful manner
• Inspect and operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner at all times
• Other duties that may be required
  
  

Requirements

• 3 – 5 years of underground mining experience and/or previous experience operating heavy machinery
• Previous experience in mechanized cable installation, long hole drilling, loading, and blasting is beneficial
• Basic understanding of how to read, understand, and follow engineering prints
• Possess Ontario Basic Common Core
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Current and valid Driver’s License preferred
• A high level of flexibility to adapt to changes as necessitated by the business
• Possess effective communication skills and be a collaborative team member
  
  

Working Conditions

The schedule for this position will consist of 14 days on and 14 days off, 12 hours per day.
