Steele Chevrolet is seeking a Warranty Administrator to join our team!
As the Warranty Administrator at Steele Chevrolet, you will be responsible for supporting the service department with administration relating to internal work orders and warranty claims. Working closely with our service team, you will report to the Service Manager and have an opportunity to learn about the automotive service industry firsthand.
Hourly Wage Range: $18.70 - $21.90 per hour

Steele Chevrolet is seeking a Warranty Administrator to join our team!
As the Warranty Administrator at Steele Chevrolet, you will be responsible for supporting the service department with administration relating to internal work orders and warranty claims. Working closely with our service team, you will report to the Service Manager and have an opportunity to learn about the automotive service industry firsthand.
Hourly Wage Range: $18.70 - $21.90 per hour
Responsibilities Will Include But Are Not Limited To
- Extends and completes P.D.I repair orders daily, maintaining P.D.I register of serial numbers and time
- Verifies all claims are accurately entered in repair orders by Service Advisors.
- Prepares claims for submission, including proper authorization codes
- Determines and corrects rejected claims for resubmission
- Follows up every ten days and reclaims when necessary any claims over thirty days old
- Matches and balances manufacturers' credit memos to file outstanding claims
- Files all paid repair orders and related documents after processing each credit memo
- Reports any problems or out-of-line conditions to the Service Manager
- Reconciles and maintains warranty schedule
- Maintains claims follow-up and records so that percentage of completion can be kept at a maximum
- Obtains authorization on major or unusual repairs before submitting to the factory
- Notifies Service, Sales and Parts Departments regarding any discrepancies in work orders or insufficient information
- Corrects and resubmits all claims rejected by the factory due to error, etc.
- Processing all warranty claims and internal repair orders in a timely manner
- Supporting administrative processes with the service department
- Monitor all customer inquiries and requests on warranty issues
- Maintain consistent and up-to-date knowledge of vehicle parts and components
- Arranging invoices, scheduling appointments, and assisting in filing
- Assisting Service Department and Service Manager when needed
- Answering phones, emails, and any channels that customer uses to reach out to the dealership
- Coordinating special order parts requirements
- Ensures all safety policies and procedures in accordance with IAPA, WHMIS and company are strictly adhered to
- Dispatch work orders to alleviate the workload on service advisors
- Act as an internal service advisor to follow up on used vehicle recon and warranty work
- Previous experience in automotive service is considered an asset but not required
- 3-5 years experience in an administrative role
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
- Computer proficiency
