Our North American team is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Contracts Package Engineer to join our Minerals and Metals business line in the Vancouver office.

About The Role

  • Act as Contracts Package Engineer for a variety of assignments across Ausenco’s North American client base.
  • Develop contract packages with engineering input, engage contractors, evaluate packages and manage contract development into execution.
  • Participate in the development and administration of project implementation documentation, execution strategies, and procurement and contract packaging strategies.
  • Coordinate multi-discipline engineering efforts for timely preparation, evaluation, and recommendation of contract deliverables.
  • Manage interfaces between engineering / procurement / logistics / contracts and the construction team to resolve issues impeding contractor package
  • Monitor project cost, progress and schedule reports and coordinate action plans to correct deviations from plan
  • Provide input to weekly and monthly reports
  • Manage client relationships for potential and existing projects and interface directly with sub-consultants, and vendors
  • Participate and advance continuous improvement of Ausenco design standards, project management procedures, and other added value initiatives

About You

  • 4-year Engineering degree or related technical degree or diploma
  • 3+ years field construction experience and management of contractors.
  • 6+ years of experience in the development, delivery and/or operation of mining, mineral processing projects, or other major industrial capital projects
  • Desire to become part of a highly technical team providing ingenious and value-added solutions to our customers
  • Ability to work closely with Clients, Contractors, Project Managers, Construction Managers and Engineering discipline leads to develop packages for execution.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are essential
  • Demonstrated ability to think "out of the box" to provide our clients with innovative & value-added solutions
  • Experience with an engineering consulting practice is an asset
  • Estimating, Project Controls, Contracts Management, Quality Management and/or Project Management experience is an asset
  • Willingness to travel when required , including periodic travel to Vancouver if residing elsewhere.

Salary range: $95,000 - $135,000

Expected Salary: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as qualifications, relevant years of experience, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
