Payroll Clerk

Description

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Clerk in the retail industry, based in Vancouver, British Columbia. The role primarily involves data entry tasks and communicating with our shops in the US and Canada. The workplace is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring individuals who can manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Accurately processing new hires and missing paperwork from our shops in the US and Canada.
• Regularly communicating with shop managers via email to gather necessary documentation.
• Efficiently filing documents electronically to maintain organized records.
• Utilizing Microsoft Excel to manage high volumes of data entry tasks.
• Ensuring the accuracy of data entered in the Accounting Software Systems.
• Monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary actions.
• Maintaining accurate customer credit records.
• Resolving customer inquiries in a timely and detail oriented manner.
• Processing customer credit applications efficiently.
• Utilizing Payroll skills to ensure all financial transactions are correctly recorded.
  
  

Requirements

• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems
• Experience in Payroll management
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel
• Experience in Data Entry
• Proficiency in Numeric Data Entry
• Ability to handle High-Volume Data Entry tasks
• Prior experience in the retail industry is preferable
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Must have a strong understanding of payroll procedures and laws.
