Job Description

What will you work on?

The Producer is responsible for managing a project’s production budget, schedule and creative expectations; executing the overall production plan and overseeing the day-to-day internal external operations. The Producer must have a strong understanding of production management and animation pipelines. This role is the primary production liaison partner between SME’s Development Team, Showrunner, Current Series Executives and external vendors suppliers

How will you create impact?

  • Develop and support key relationships internal external contacts to ensure creative alignment and execution of the project meeting budget and schedule parameters.
  • Support Showrunner to produce the highest quality production, while adhering to agreed upon production assumptions, budget and schedule.
  • Work with Broadcaster/Streaming Service.
  • Lead and/or support talent negotiations with writers, cast, composors and other key third party creatives.
  • Lead negotiations for external vendors including record studios and post facilities.
  • Manage production schedules and budgets from pre-production through to post and deliveries.
  • Manage communication, distribution and approvals over all phases of production with pre-established creative leads and stakeholders.
  • Oversee production expenditures and maintain cost reports.
  • Lead by example with best practices of people management.

What are your skills and experience?

  • In-depth understanding of the animation production process – 2D and/or 3D.
  • In-depth experience in producing animated children’s television series.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills essential.
  • A high level of proficiency in Word, Final Draft, Power Point, Excel and Movie Magic Budgeting.
  • In-depth knowledge of and experience in production management, scheduling and budgeting.
  • Strong forecasting skills.
  • Strong understanding of WGC IPA, WGA, DGC, and ACTRA IPA, specifically related to Animation provisions.
  • A calm approach to all situations and ability to problem solve quickly, creatively and logically.
  • Experience producing long form animation series.
