Senior Manager, Business Development

Description

Our client in the Financial Services industry are seeking a dynamic Senior Manager, Business Development to lead and develop independent business relationships with complex and diversified commercial clients. This role focuses on achieving targeted business growth within a specified geographic market, managing a portfolio of clients with average loan and deposit volumes exceeding $2 million, and a portion over $10 million. The successful candidate will deliver full-service banking solutions while potentially taking on leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct independent sales activities to meet annual targets for loans, deposits, and cash management services.
• Provide comprehensive banking solutions, acting as the primary financial partner for clients.
• Develop and execute relationship strategies to enhance client partnerships and drive portfolio growth.
• Implement and manage a marketing plan, focusing on generating leads through targeted outreach and referrals.
• Work closely with internal partners to deliver tailored financial solutions and foster a collaborative environment.
• Ensure prudent lending practices and compliance with regulatory guidelines while monitoring portfolio performance.
• Guide and mentor junior employees, fostering their professional development and supporting team performance.
• Actively participate in community and industry events to enhance visibility and establish a strong professional network.
• Utilize client relationship management tools to monitor sales activities and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
• Stay updated on market trends and regulatory changes, contributing to ongoing process enhancements.
  
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in commerce, finance, or accounting.
• 6+ years in commercial lending or related fields, with prior leadership experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to generate new business and manage complex client relationships.
