Civil Technician

GEMTEC currently has openings for a Civil Technician in our Halifax office location for a 4-month contract (September-December 2024). The successful candidate will have experience or interest in general construction activities, materials testing and inspection services.

Educational & Experience Requirements:

• Experience with materials testing and inspection.
• Experience working in civil construction is considered an asset.

Main Duties:

• Laboratory testing of aggregates, soils, concrete and asphalt.
• Field testing and sampling of aggregates, soils, concrete, and asphalt.
• Other duties as required.

Position:

• 4-month contract (September - December)

Other:

• Must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
