Our client is looking for a Senior Technical Recruiter (contract position) to join their Talent Acquisition team in Canada. Reporting to their Senior Manager, Technical Recruiting for Canada, this contract position can be based in one of our major hub cities in Canada: Toronto, Montreal or Vancouver.
As a Senior Technical Recruiter, you'll manage full-cycle recruitment for a variety of technical positions (software development, quality assurance, product management, etc.). You’ll also work in partnership with hiring managers and teams, HR and Finance partners and with extended recruitment team members, while ensuring a high-quality candidate experience.
This is a six to 12-month contract position and is hybrid. You must be able to come on-site to the client three days a week in either: Toronto, Montreal or Vancouver.
Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end recruitment cycle for an assigned set of technical positions.
In partnership with hiring managers, develop sourcing and recruiting strategies for your open roles, leveraging our global recruiting process and other internal resources.
Perform research and talent mapping activities that align with hiring needs and goals. Share talent market insights with hiring managers and broader recruiting team members, where appropriate.
Establish and maintain partnerships with hiring managers, HR and Finance Business Partners, and with extended recruitment team members.
Conduct hiring strategy meetings to qualify position requirements and develop recruitment plans with hiring managers and their respective hiring teams.
Define & design appropriate interview steps and advise on best approaches to ensure a fair and consistent interview process and excellent candidate experience.
Conduct initial candidate reviews (resumes, LI profiles, etc.) and screen candidates based on prequalification criteria. Make recommendations to hiring managers on best way forward.
Leverage a variety of internal & external tools and databases to identify talent trends and support hiring decisions effectively and thoughtfully.
Ensure an exceptional hiring manager and candidate experience at every touch point
Perform direct sourcing & branding activities via social platforms, media campaigns, and other digital tools.
5+ years of experience as a full-cycle recruiter and partner, handling end-to-end technology recruiting (within corporate or agency environments)
Experience hiring technical talent with emerging skills (cloud technologies, software development, data engineering, AI, machine learning, and data science, and related)
Proven success leveraging direct sourcing techniques (online tools & platforms, networking, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with different partners (HR, Finance, Talent Scouts, Management and Senior Management)
Ability to use talent market insights and data to influence hiring decisions and strategies (LinkedIn Talent Insights, or other sources)
Highly collaborative, curious with a high degree of ownership and results-focused approach
