We are looking for a skilled Backend Engineer to join our Platform core team. In this role, you'll be building backend services, developing APIs, and implementing business logic that drives key features.

You'll also collaborate cross-functionally to integrate services across multiple teams and troubleshoot production issues as they arise.

This is a mid-level position, ideal for engineers with solid backend development experience who are eager to contribute to impactful projects and cross-team initiatives.

What you will do:

  • Design, build, test, ship and maintain backend services to support various platform functionalities.
  • Write business logic to meet complex requirements, translating product needs into scalable backend solutions.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues, maintaining high service availability and reliability
  • Participate in technical design and planning discussions
  • Ensure code quality through regular code reviews, bug resolution, automated testing, and performance monitoring.
  • Work closely with other teams to integrate backend services across the organization.

About You:

  • Proficient in Golang, with over 3 years of experience in building and maintaining backend services.
  • Hands-on experience with MongoDB (nice to have) for data management and storage, including schema design and performance optimization.
  • Proficient in RESTful API design, microservices, and building secure, scalable APIs
  • Strong analytical skills, with proven experience investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving production issues in a live environment.
  • Experience in building and maintaining automated test suites
  • Diploma or degree preferred but not required

  • Compliance with Information Security Policies
  • Compliance with League's secure coding practice
  • Responsibility and accountability for executing League's policies and procedures
  • Notification of HR, Legal, Compliance & Security of any incidents, breaches or policy violations

CANADA APPLICANTS ONLY: The Canada-specific compensation range below for this full-time position is exclusive of bonus, equity and benefits. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for base salaries for the position across all Canadian locations. Where in the band you may land is determined by job-related skills/experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range specific to your skills and experience during the hiring process.

$94,200—$141,400 CAD
