Architecture49 is seeking an Intermediate Architect to join our team in Halifax.

The philosophy of our design team in Atlantic Canada is rooted in the rich social and cultural mosaic of the east coast. Our architects have a reputation for design excellence that is complemented by our strength in the technical execution of each project. The A49 Atlantic region is well-versed at working within our community impact sectors. Responsibilities

  • Manage a team in producing architectural design solutions and construction drawings
  • Manage a group of architectural staff, leading project meetings, and coordinating other building disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Manage a team of consultants
  • Client communication
  • Provide technical and administrative oversight to ensure that both the internal and external client needs are met and that the projects are delivered within cost, quality and schedule targets
  • Manage the financial aspect of the project including planning, scheduling, forecasting and staffing and working with accounting to achieve the desired results.
  • Supporting the team on pursuing work through assisting with RFP preparation including schedule and fee


Qualifications

  • Registered architect in Nova Scotia (NSAA), or eligibility to be registered in the province
  • Minimum of 7 years experience working in a similar role
  • Experience with Healthcare or Science & Technology projects is considered a strong asset
  • Preference given to candidates with knowledge of BIM principles & workflows, REVIT software, AutoCAD software, Visualization software, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft 365 environment and Bluebeam.
