CEDA is hiring a Journeyman, Parts Technician to support the day-to-day operations of our warehouse/ town shop in Fort McMurray!

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- General warehouse upkeep/housekeeping – you cleanup after yourself and are proud of your work space
- Create pick tickets and issue materials – this where your knowledge with FX comes in handy
- Pick and bill stock to fill work orders
- Coordinate the shipping and receiving of freight with multiple carriers
- Handle inventory issues maintaining min and max levels of stock
- Loading/Unloading freight using a forklift
- Act as a buyer and negotiate with vendors
- Other duties as assigned
Role Specifications
- Journeyman Parts Technician or 4th year apprentice
- 2 – 5 years of related work experience with at least:
- 2+ years of heavy duty automotive mechanical parts experience
- 2+ years of shipping and receiving work experience
- 1+ Experience as a buyer negotiating with vendors
- Prior experience with ERP systems is an asset, specifically using:
- AX for purchasing
- FX for transferring costs
- Fork Lift Training is considered an asset
- Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
- Valid ESC CSO certification or CSTS-09
- Ability to complete a pre-employment drug & alcohol test
Skills
- Ability to prioritize and initiate innovative solutions
- Demonstrates strong organizational and problem solving skills
- Perform physically demanding work including climbing multiple flights of stairs and carrying equipment (able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis)
- You’re happiest working in a team, sharing a laugh with your coworkers and getting the job done safely
- Possess an uncompromising commitment to health, safety & environment
