Goodness Me! is currently seeking an experienced and customer-focused, full-time The Good Kitchen Department Manager for our Waterloo store location.


Your day-to-day:


Reporting to the Store Manager, the Good Kitchen Department Manager will be responsible to lead and manage daily operations of the Eatery/Prepared Foods, with a focus on sales, labour, and waste targets. If you enjoy a fast-paced, structured environment, this position may be a great opportunity for you.


Other duties and tasks may include:


·      Interviewing and onboarding new team members

·      Monitoring and evaluating staff performance

·      Executing performance management conversations with team members

·      Ensuring adherence to company and industry regulations

·      Maintaining safety and food quality standards

·      Motivating and inspiring team members and facilitating personal growth

·      Ensuring high levels of productivity are maintained

·      Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge and an ability to increase basket size

·      Build and maintain relationships with new and returning customers

·      Ordering, receiving, price changes, handling damaged products, and returns

·      Participate in merchandising and promotional activities


What you bring:


·      Previous food service experience

·      3-5 years of management experience.

·      Experience in maintaining operational excellence in retail stores (payroll, shrink and inventory management, etc).

·      A solid understanding of sales forecasts for establishing key targets for the department.

·      Driven and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.

·      Hours of work are primarily daytime shifts, with evening/weekend availability.


Licenses and Certifications:


·      A Food Handler’s certificate is strongly preferred.
