Your Opportunity:

he Administrative Support III functions as an essential part of the multidisciplinary Home Care team. The Admin III will be accountable for the day-to-day administrative/operation of the client and HCA staff scheduling process. The incumbent will support the Team Lead for Healthcare Aides and the Case Managers by, handling and processing all new service authorizations or changes in a timely manner, editing and printing care plans to be sent out to clients, maintaining records of client schedules and sharing with HCA’s, managing care time requests and offering suggestions for changes to those requests or service authorizations as needed, and organizing fleet vehicle assignment and booking maintenance of same. This position also works closely with the Team Lead to process staffing requests for time off and arrange coverage for shifts as needed, and any other duties that may be needed to support the team. This individual will enjoy working in a highly challenging, change-orientated environment. Knowledge and practical experience in Home Care is preferred.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Must be able to communicate in verbal and written English. Must have Scheduling experience. Ability to work as a team member and request and accept direction as required. Effective interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to apply Health and Safety principles in delivering care to clients in the community, to work effectively and cooperatively with others and to set priorities by organizing and scheduling work-related activities is essential. Proficient with PC, Outlook, Excel and Microsoft Word applications is required. This position entails scheduling for a large team. An excellent attendance record, reliability and personal suitability must be demonstrated through your employment references. New employees must provide a criminal records check (at their own expense) in compliance with the Protection for Persons in Care Act. Smoking restrictions are in effect. Preferred Qualifications:

BCLS-HCP and /or first aid training is an asset. Previous experience in the health care field and medical terminology experience is an asset.
