On behalf of our government client, Procom is searching for an Intermediate IT Technical Business Analyst for a 4 month contract position. This position is mostly remote with occasional visits at our client site in Edmonton as needed.


IT Technical Business Analyst - Intermediate Job Details

We are searching for an Intermediate IT Technical Business Analyst to join our client's team as part of their Technical Debt Mitigation Program Service Mapping project. This role involves contributing to the development of service maps for applications identified with critical security vulnerabilities. The successful candidate will work within a hybrid model, primarily remotely, but must be available for onsite meetings as required.


IT Technical Business Analyst - Intermediate Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Service Mapping Lead to develop and execute service maps and associated deliverables for each application identified by the Technical Debt Mitigation program.
• Engage with application stakeholders to gather information, create, refine, and validate service maps and deliverables.
• Utilize ServiceNow application to create and maintain service maps, reports, dashboards, and visual task boards.
• Exercise analytical, planning, organizational, evaluation, and problem-solving skills.
• Communicate effectively with staff having varying levels of systems and technical understanding.
• Escalate issues and risks as appropriate within a multi-vendor/staff environment.
  
  
  

IT Technical Business Analyst - Intermediate Mandatory Skills

• A university degree in computer science or related discipline with at least 4 years of technical analyst experience, or equivalent qualifications as specified.
• Broad understanding of technical environments and system linkages (3 years).
• Experience in developing service maps for complex IT environments (3 years).
• Experience supporting application infrastructure and/or software development (3 years).
• Proficient in using ServiceNow for creating and maintaining service maps (3 years).
• Experience working with application stakeholders to gather information on systems and infrastructure (3 years).
  
  
  

IT Technical Business Analyst - Intermediate Desired Skills

• ITIL Foundations certification.
• Experience leading and facilitating stakeholder meetings (3 years).
• Experience within a Public Sector organization (2 years).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Visio or other diagramming software (3 years).
• Familiarity with TOGAF framework (3 years).
