Your Opportunity:
As an expert clinician and self-directed professional, the primary role for the Clinical Nurse Educator in Critical Care, is the education, development and evaluation through orientation, in-service and support of front-line staff for the program. The Clinical Nurse Educator will assist in the development and revision of policies and procedure specific to the critical care area. The Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for supporting the delivery of quality patient care in critical care in accordance with the Covenant Health Mission, Vision, and Values.

Description: The Instructor's primary role is to ensure the delivery of quality patient care and excellence in nursing. Exercising adult principles of learning, the Instructor will design, enhance and provide staff orientation, education, clinical consultation, development, and/or evaluation. The Instructor's nursing practice will reflect a current, broad knowledge base, and excellent nursing skills that enable her/him to function as a role model and support staff in accordance with Covenant Health's Mission, Vision, and Values. The Instructor will function independently in formal and informal learning environments. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the UNA Collective Agreement.
Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Registered Nurse program or recognized equivalent required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or other applicable degree required. Combination of education and experience will be considered. Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) is required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required. Additional Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of recent critical care nursing experience. Adult education experience an asset.
