Your Opportunity:
The successful candidate will provide patient reception ensuring the efficient flow of both inpatient and outpatient Diagnostic Imaging procedures while ensuring efficient operation of switchboard phone calls, while actioning electronic communications, documents, and data for a busy, multi-modality, acute care Diagnostic Imaging department. This position will be primarily daytime shifts from 0845 to 1445, with a rotation that will include every second weekend. Duties include accurate entry of Diagnostic Imaging orders and the necessary documentation, effectively coordinating incoming phone calls and providing call direction throughout a busy department and relaying messages where appropriate. Additional duties include receiving, sorting and distributing incoming mail, preparing images for distribution to other health care providers and the intake processing of DI requisitions to be booked. The successful candidate will demonstrate positive interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with patients, staff and public. This position will have the opportunity to work independently as well as in a team environment. Required Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:
As Required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Recognized Clerical/Office Administration course Completion of Medical terminology course. Previous relevant Diagnostic Imaging experience is preferred. Excellent working knowledge of computers and computerized patient information systems, such as Connect Care.
